InsanityVille's Simple Yahoo Status Checker

	This a very easy and elegant way to see whether your friends are online or not on Yahoo Messenger. It relies on AJAX calls using jQuery to get the status from the Yahoo servers. The actual checking is done via PHP. Everything is very easy to use and FAST. Not to mention is completely FREE.

This simple contact-form validates the user's data in the background at the same time the user is filling in the form by use of Ajax. After the user clicks the submit-button, the message is sent to you by e-mail in the background and the user gets a confirmation-message and confirmation-email without loading a new page (use of Ajax). All this can be installed very easily: just copy the html-code/javascript-code into your webpage and load both the webpage and the php-script into one folder on your webserver.

This image advertisement script allows you to display and rotate banners automatically without needing to reload the page. You can display any number of banners as a slideshow similar to cinema pre-feature advertisements. Accepts images, text, or rich HTML in a dynamic manner. Set the script to automatically cycle through the contents like in a scroller or manual selection. Furthermore, we made inputting the contents a breeze simply wrap desired blocks of HTML in a special tag div, and they are automatically added to the slideshow. Warning: may not work with some browsers and each offsite servers can cause delays if they are down or slow. The demo illustrates, you must wait for the rotation. While it appears to behave like an animated gif, each banner rotation is accessing a distinct individual offsite URI smoothly without the page needing to reload.

The following is a freeware script that demonstrates how to create a simple AJAX shopping cart of items using javascript and the ajax support frameworks: Prototype and script.aculo.us - web 2.0 javascript. Items can be added to the shopping cart easily by dragging them to the shopping cart basket. At the same time the shopping cart basket calculates the total amount on real time. After an user completes the request the script will send the information for processing to the server.

With this very easy to install script, you can give your visitors the possibiliy of searching for books after filling in keywords. By using Ajax, the results appear fast on the same page (no new page is loaded). Each result is shown with the title of the book, the current price at amazon.com, a small picture and a book-description. If you are a member of the amazon.com-associate-prog ramm, the script generates for each result an associate-link with your associate-id. You can see the script in action on the author's page.
