This script brings the fun of gambling to your site, without the worry of using real money. You set up the amount of credits your players get, the ratio, and some insider information for the 'pros' and let the games begin!
This Fantasy Betting is a just-for-fun way to manage betting on your site. Every user who logs in gets a set amount of 'dollars' or 'quid' or 'bangles' (you decide the currency) then have an opportunity to place a fun wager on items of your choice.
When you're ready to announce the winner, all users are sent an email asking them to re-visit your site to claim their 'winnings.' Thus this becomes a great way to get repeat customers.
The more a user wins, the more 'insider information' this user will obtain for future bets. There are three potential levels of player, and you set the boundaries when you install the script.
When a user logs in, then are shown the amount of credits in their bank account, and they will have the option of accepting any outstanding winnings. Use this for baseball, football, or other sports for fun betting. When a team wins, log in, announce the winner, and watch the hits go up on your site.

This script has received a lot of attention. Because it's server based, and not Java based (Java and JavaScript are dependent on the users browser), WebTV users love it. There are plans in the works to add two big features. One is a more extensive admin section allowing the administrator to control advertisements both on the gane screen and in the emails, as well as have access to deleting, point correcting, and more. The other big plan will require a significant rewrite: complete points processing. Right now users must enter and correct their own scores. This has not presented much of a problem, since Scrabble users usually play fair, and it's hard to cheat. (Undo-ing a turn because of a bad word or bad score forfeits the users turn). Just the same, this development is planned for the future.
