GrimBB is a free bulletin board system that functions by spontaneously generating a flat file relational database. It is intended to provide webmasters that use free webservers with the means of setting up a forum on their site without relying/needing an SQL database to be provided by their host. GrimBB features: theme/skinning through the use of CSS style sheets, avatars/e-mails/signature s/user profiles, administrative controls, uses no javascript or cookies, CAPTCHA enabled registration, error handling, hidden content within posts, priviledge levels, etc. Furthermore, GrimBB does not have any licensing issues, its code is made freely available to modify in any way without a need to observe copyrights, trademarks, etc.

Very easy setup. No SQL. Uses a logical, simple flatfile system. User-user mail. Guest view and/or post, or visitors view only or registered users only. Email notification, stickies, banning, languages, skins, search (posts and members). Secure admin access with full editing options. Full user profile editing. Last post, view last, number of posts, number of views... etc. Most of the usual forum features. Check it out.

With a 2 years background experiance developing modules for vBulletin, recently I decided to develope my own forum application and port all (15) my vBulletin mods to work with it. Free version will has: Forums, Site News, PayPal Donations, eCards, MeetMe (Funny Dating), Photo Rating, Flash Chat, Downloads, Links Directory, FAQ, Banners, Polls, Quizzes, Guestbook, while the Premium version (available for Free only to my Club Members), in addition will have: Articles, Reviews, Social Network, Classifieds, Shopping Cart, Blogs, Events with Registrations and Payments, Gallery, Dating, Adult Dating, Escorts (for XXX sites), Helpdek (Ticketing Support), Surveys. The 1st Alpha version released today Apr 26th, 2008. Please note that all modules are ready, I'm just porting them to work with my new forum application.

Spam Board is a clean, fully-featured and easy-to-use discussion forum written in PHP5. It supports various SQL database backends and easily translatable into any language. Producing valid XHTML output, it works in any browser, and it's themable using CSS. A fine-grained configurable permission system helps to give or take away rights from users and groups, enabling the board administrator to define private forums, enable or disable guest posting or make the board 'invitation only', for example. The web-based installation script makes setup a breeze, all administrative tasks are committed using a web-based frontend, and members can set their preferences similarly through the User Panel.
