This is just a simple script that will log the IP address of anyone who accesses the page and the time the page was accessed and wont let them come back for a set time limit. You can set the time limit to whatever you want. This script will require that the log file have writable permissions (chmod 666).

You can use this script along with your current log-in script. This script will allow you to restrict access to a particular file. The user can view the resource only once within a pre-set ammount of time. The username, password and date are written to a logfile. The script compares the username and password combonations for a match and determines if the alloted time limit has expired. If all is well the function returns back to your actual log-in script. There is a few configuration options like if you want to be notified if the user attempts to log-in a second time. The ipLogFile.txt file will need to have writable permissions (chmod 666) in order for the script to write the users data to the logfile.

Scripthash is a PHP extention which enables you securely hide passwords or execute programs as a different user when using PHP as an Apache Module or as a RedHat RPM. During module initialization a shared memory segment is created and initialised with a randomly generated secret. This segment remains attached across the subsequent forks which create the Apache children and thus the children have access to the secret. The module implements a single function scripthash() which when called returns an MD5 hash of the secret and various attributes of the call. This hash can be used by external programs to securely return privileged information to the caller.

POBS, stands for PHP Obfuscator/Obscurer, is a free and open PHP program that makes PHP sourcecode almost impossible to read and edit for ordinary users. It is a simple way to protect your PHP sourcecode from people who whould like to adjust it or who would like to know the inner workings of it. It allows you to deploy your application and feel pretty safe about it. POBS works by replacing User-defined functionnames, variables and constants with a MD5 key of 8 characters. It really removes information that humans would like to have but computers don't care about. It's not ideal but quite a good option in my idea.
