This is a web-based application that can check the registration status of a domainname. This is a realy good solution for hosting providers, that wants to let it's users to check if a domainname is still free for registration or not. I've made this for a view small hosting providers, and after some development (5 years) I've now got the best domain checkup script ever! ;) (mrrff, smelly isn't it?) It's not using any system calls! It's opening a socket to the whois server. So it should run on any server with PHP4 or higher installed! Download, untar, upload to your server and point your browser to the whois.php, and you're ready for business! If every thing was that easy.

It can establish a secure connection to a cPanel server and enumerate, create and remove email and FTP accounts, domains, email forwarders and auto-responders, and databases, as well as change passwords, quotas, and cPanel settings.

SolidState is an open-source web-based billing and customer management solution for web hosting providers. It is written in PHP, uses MySQL, is fully templated with Smarty templates, and is built on-top of a modular framework with support for third-party payment gateways and domain registrars. SolidState includes two interfaces: an order/signup interface for new and existing customers to place orders for hosting services and domains, and a manager interface for administering customers, services, and orders.

If you're dependent on cron to run important tasks, you'll want some kind of monitoring. This class is useful for parsing a given cron schedule to see when the cron job should have last run, so you can add monitoring to your application easily by making cron jobs log their events in a database and then writing a monitoring app around this class. Cron schedules can be quite complex to parse since they can involve ranges (n-n) and lists of values or ranges (n,n,n or n,n,n-n,n-n). Finally, days can be specified by calendar days or days of the week. This class supports every possibility at the moment except for weekdays specified in non-numerical format, like Mon, Tues, etc. and */2 syntax for alternation.
One possible use for this class would be to write a complete PHP replacement for cron!

web-cp is a full-featured, GPL-licensed web hosting control panel written in PHP. It consists of 4 control panels - personal, domain, reseller and server. web-cp allows domain owners to add new users and aliases and allows users to update their personal information. Resellers can control their domain accounts and the server administrator controls all functionality. Scripting, shell access, SSI, etc is all controlled from a top-down approach. web-cp is designed for Unix-like systems and is not distribution specific. It currently supports RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, Debian, FreeBSD, Slackware and likely your favorite distribution. The only requirements are that Apache, PHP and MySQL be available for your platform.

tPanel is a web hosting control panel written in PHP and designed to host multiple users on one webspace account. However, tPanel is different than most web hosting control panels. Other commercial hosting control panels such as cPanel, H-Sphere, Ensim, and Plesk require you to have a dedicated server or a server with power to control Apache, FTP, e-mail, and other hosting features. tPanel was made to help accommodate settings on a "shared" hosting plan or on webspace with limited features. You have features such as MySQL databases, FTP, e-mail accounts and forwarding, script installers, and much more! These features are all optional so if you don't have one or the other, don't fret! tPanel's got you covered. In the control panel, features are set in a "pending" mode until an administrator sees this request and completes it. If an administrator feels that the user shouldn't be doing this, he/she may remove it without worrying about loose ends.
