The ionCube Bundler creates Windows self-extracting archive bundles that can extract files to a temporary or user specified folder, and then optionally trigger a program from the extracted set of files.
An ideal use is for wrapping existing cumbersome and undesirable multi-file installer packages into a new single executable. When run, a small progress dialog is instantly displayed while the files are unpacked, before seamlessly triggering the main installer from the bundle. Once the triggered program in the bundle has exited, the temporary files are removed.
Windows Bundles can be created on either Windows or Linux, making it ideal for creating archive bundles dynamically on a web server.
The Bundler is by design simple and with a specific purpose, ensuring minimal archive overhead at <50K, and ease of use. If you need to create Windows self extracting archives from Linux or Windows, or wish that your multi-file packages were a single executable file, the ionCube Bundler is the solution.
