Server2Go is a CD-ROM Webserver. That means it is a webserver that can run directly from cdrom without installation. Server2Go allows you to create a working web site or PHP application on a CD-ROM. Using a web browser, a user can run php programs as well as view html files on the CD-ROM. He only need to insert a CD with Server2Go under the supported Windows operations systems. The server starts automaticly and opens a browser with the Website of the CD-ROM Server2Go supports PHP5.2.6, Perl, SQLite and MySQL.

What Is It? -- You can now carry your web server with you where ever you go! Just plug it into a free USB-port on a Windows 2000 or newer PC and you're good to go. It's handy for demonstrating a new website or script to a costumer. You can also use it to share files over a network with friends! They can even upload files to you thanks to the DAV server! Do you have a module you always use? Why not install it? Just drop it into the modules dir and update the config file.

ZazouMiniWebServer

ZazouMiniWebServer is a simple webserver. It can serve static and dynamic pages. It is compatible with php and a lot of other languages through the use of handlers. The new 1.0 version now supports HTTPS and come with a tray application. It doesn't need any installation, comes with php, mysql, sqlite, phpmyadmin, sqlitemanager and webalizer. Though, the download is only 9Mb. It can run from your hard drive, a usb key or a cd. It's free software, with source code available under the GPL license. ZazouMiniWebServer is also available as a windows dll (less than 400kB for the webserver) to be included in your own applications. The website includes a link to a ZMWS package including MySQL-5. It's definitely easy to try this major version of our favourite DBMS with ZMWS. Just double click it and you're done, without installing anything !
