    Some great icon sets are listet here: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/03/06/35-really-incredible-free-icon-sets/ I often use famfamfam's silk icon-set: http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/ (This is also used by applications like Firefox Webdeveloper Toolbar or Firebug I think) But the links in the article are also great!
