Right, but the point is that
some potential clients
will find it offensive or inappropriate. That you don't think those images are (or could be) controversial is a bit surprising. (Personally I enjoy looking at images of attractive ladies, but I wouldn't use those images to showcase my work and I don't know any mainstream company that would.)
I'd guess a fair number of female users would find those images to be borderline offensive, unprofessional, or overly suggestive. Even if they're not personally offended, they may understand that others would be, and they'll do as Wirehopper did and simply close the page. That's a potential client lost for no good reason.
Like I said, I'd recommend animals or scenic shots to avoid alienating potential customers or users, but the choice is yours.
I was also surprised to see it coded in perl. I don't see a lot of new perl projects these days, it seems most folks have moved to PHP, Python, or Ruby.
