Are people still doing new stuff with XML?
I notice the
XML & Python Tutorials & Tips secttion of this site has 7 entries, but the most recent one is over 9 years old.
There seemed to be lots and lots of excitement about it in the late nineties, maybe up until the dot-com crash in 2000. Then xml.com was kind of dead for several years.
I've used and parsed a little XML here and there, but I've always thought it would be a very useful tool if I ever learned to work with it better. I'm also occasionally learning a little Python, so it might be good to learn them both together.
But am I the only one? Is everyone else abandoning XML?
