Hi,

I do not use it. But I am looking for a turnkey classified ad software, and it seems to be a good value for money, but I noticed some bugs in their live demo. The live demo lets you browse both front end and administrator sections to see what settings are availables.

Yesterday, I sent the message below to the support team, I may share their answer with you :

Hello,
I am not using oxyclassifieds, but actually searching for a turnkey classified ads software.
I looked into your demo, both front and backend and noticed a small but frustrating deffect : the browser "back" button does not allow to go back to the previous page, and there is no "back to search results" link in the ads details. So to view another classified I need to do the entire search process again.
Also, the drop down list from the "contact" option in the navigation bar does not show up correctly.
Are these bugs corrected since your demo is online ?

Since I started my search for a classified ads software, yours is among the best value for money offers, but to my opinion it misses 2 important SEO and Pagerank optimisation features :

- the ability to set a "user url" field which would be automatically checked for reciprocal links on the user's website, with automatic reminder email, and even urls deletion if users fail to backlink to the oxyclassifieds site. I found "reciprocal-links-manager-php-script-1.1" on script.wareseeker.com but don't know how this could be implemented within your software.

- as url rewrite can be enabled, there should be an <alt> description for each picture. With the choice of ad title, or category or sub category options for add setting, so every picture would have an alternate description like "real estate", "house San Diego", "classic car" or "triumph TR3". On the site (classicsportscars.eu) i am currently running, most of my visitors come from Google Images, and I think this <alt> feature is "must have" for a classifieds website. Type "Triumph TR3" in Google so you'll have the perfect example of what i am meaning.

Do you plan to add this feature on your next release ? That would certainly make me choose your solution among others.
Best regards.

Bastien
