are you running the server local or is it a remote server you have control of? It means exactly what it says: There are XX number of people visiting this site and my limit is XX so you cannot look rightnow.

If you are running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Microsoft Windows XP Professional, I believe they both have a hardcoded user limit of 10 people and the session timeout is 900 seconds. That means that if you open 10 new browser windows within 900 seconds, it will kick you off and give you that error. Try going to IIS and into the properties for your web server. You cant increase the connection limit, but you can set the session timeout to 60 seconds or something more reasonable.

colusion.com is right, but there is a way to change it bc hosting companies use 2000 sry just dont know how. its easier to change timeout

No there isn't a way to change it on Professional versions. If you want a higher client limit, you have to buy windows 2000 server or windows 2000 advanced server. I believe that both of those let you have an unlimited number of clients. As for Windows 2000 Professional, 10 is hardcoded. There is no way to change it.

lol no problemo! I can already tell that a bunch of people who read this are going to run out and get a copy of Windows 2000 Advanced Server and load it up on their home computer, trying to make a web server off of it, then realize that since it is a server platform, none of their applications will run on it.

you can change user limit of 10 people

IIS on XP Professional is limited to 10 connections, you can change that "restriction" using a tool provided by the "Vendor".

Download http://support.microsoft.com/default...en-us%3B301386

Navigate to the key LM/W3WSVC/MaxConnections

Double click to edit and change to something else.
Note: Max connections on IIS running on Win2k Server is: 2000000000
