valid ip -asp

anyone got a function handy that will validate an ip makin sure that theres no additional text etc

im gonna create one but why bother if someone else has

what do u mean by "validate" an ip address? how do u think your going to validate ?

by making sure theres 4 sets of numbers, the values done excede 255, it isnt 127.0.0.1 for example. also to make sure theres no text surrouning the IP. just a simple check.

doesnt matter now i done it ;-)
