Talking Newbie Needs Help!!!!!

Folks,

I have been charged with exploring the following requirement from our Marketing department. We have 50 regional sales managers (RSM) throughtout the world and we would like to setup the following application using ASP on our server with Access. Application - RSM's via a web form fill out a "New Customer Survey (25 questions). They can save data to Access Database and can retrieve data until form is 100% complete. See the condensed steps below:

Step 1: RSM's login using an email address and password. (with forgot password capability)

Step 2: Once login, the RSM's will be able to open ONLY their Customer list, or create a new customer record of the survey.

Step 3: Open, Add, edit, save, delete data using a web form template interface. Need capability for partial completed survey records to open in form upon opening customer record.

Step 4: Once completed. Submit "Form" via email ( I have presently been using sendmail.asp since it creates the email using a template.

I know I could program this beast but I was wondering if anyone out there knows of an ASP program that can complete the task. I have been searching the web but can't find any complete scripting package that has all of the capabilities I need. Even one that could get me close would be appreciated.

thanks and please advise!

E

Step 4:

Hello Warner,

I just wanted to remind you, that if you in fact have 50 or more users that will be using this system, you really should NOT be using Microsoft Access, and should be using Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Server. When you have that many users reading and writing to the database at the same time, you can have all sorts of problems with it later on.

As far as the actual script is concerned, it really should be fairly quick to write this from scratch, if you were to code it yourself, so I recommend that you either code it yourself, or have someone else custom code this. Feel free to email me if you need someone to code this for you (for a small fee of course).
