Building a script and wanting input...

Hello,

I'm building a banner managment script and I was looking for some ideas before I get too far into it. So far it's coming along good and I think it will be a very useful script for a lot of people. It's far from done but check it out here and let me know your inputs on it.

Some of the key features so far are:

-- Able to use images and Flash animations. If flash, you can choose if the Flash will Loop or not and/or Autoplay.
-- Upload files directly to the server when ads are added. No need to FTP images and then try to link to them.
-- Complete tracking of users IP, time, date and page (or other site) banner was on when clicked. Advanced reporting of anything you would ever want to know (reports coming soon).
-- IP exclusion list for eliminating tracking information from specific IP's.
-- User control to allow multiple users with 2 levels of access for security. (not implimented yet for ease of testing)
-- Easy to impliment into exisiting sites with a simple script that is generated for you. Simply paste the small code into the body and your done!
-- Web Based database compacting (Access) to improve performance if needed.
-- One click ad removal for all expired ads (unless ad is marked not the be deleted by this action)
-- Ads can be given a Start and End date so you can put ads up days, weeks or months ahead of time. Ads can also be turned inactive at anytime by a simple change.
-- Allows you to choose window opening options (new window or current page) (image files only... Flash would need this done in the Flash file)
-- Allows ALT text tags to be used for images.
-- Allows ad display weighting so some ads can be shown more than others.
-- much more......

Let me know what you guys think about this... Would you use it? What other features could I do to make it more useful.

thanks,

Chris

Hi,
I would change that password m8, took me 2 seconds to get in, all looks pretty smart apart from that big fish, lol. On a serious note, its looks like youve gone around it the right way, looks tidy and well structured, keep up the good work

also like the compact database option, a thing that most programmers forget.

Cheers
