First off, let me introduce who I am. I am the creator of Qnews 1.0 (some of you may have seen my script on this website). I have been programming ASP for about 4 years now, and I do it as a hobby. I also keep up my website which hosts my scripts, flash movies and other things I randomly come up with.

Enough about me, back to the real reason I'm here.

I am currently working on Qnews 2.0 and have finished many parts of it so far. I am interested to know what you would like to see in a news publishing system... if I like the idea, or it can be done, then I will add it to Qnews 2.0 and give you the appropriate credits for the inspiration. I would also like to invite you to inquire about Beta Testing my Qnews 2.0. To make it simpler, I just ask the following questions:

What do you think is the important key to creating a good News Publishing System?

How do you think news can be related to other parts of a website?

My mission with Qnews is to offer a fully customizable and designable, yet simple and effective News Publishing System that is equally easy for the non-programmer and the advanced programmer to use and appreciate. Because I do this as a sort of hobby, and not my lifes work, I make Qnews available at no cost and I fully support the creation of "Mods" and "Patches" for Qnews, because I hope to make this a community based system. I am also working on making other ASP systems, like a shoutbox and file manager.
