Angry Ie7!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?

Ive just found out that a scrolling div im using on my website appears with a horizontal scroll bar in IE7.

It works fine with FF and even IE6. The content isnt too wide for the div so i cant figure out what is causing it.

any ideas??? arrrghhh i hate internet explorer!

It's more a CSS problem. Try adding this to the style of your div:
css Code:
  1. overflow-x:hidden;

I believe that there can be as many browsers as possible, but they all have to conform 1 standard.

This is a bit off topic, but I seriously don't understand why Microsoft insists on shipping Windows with IE. Why no just stop the product and start shipping it with Firefox. They have enough to worry about just with Windows. And also they make no profit off of IE at all.

With IE, they can do what they want. If you type in a wrong URL in IE, Microsoft decides what should happen next. Obviously they will redirect you to one of their sites (msn search). With FireFox, they don't have those options.

Besides, if they can make their IE a default on each computer, then they can decide on functionality and standards. Ergo, people have to make their sites like Microsoft wants it. And we don't want that don't we?
