I am using hover in my css to change the image and when I see that there is a flicker effect initially - how do I get my image to stop flickering??

Do you have a link to the page its happening on ? also have you tested it in different browsers just to ensure that its not a browser compatibility issue

The only time I have encountered this problem is when my hover image was smaller than my original picture.

So if you didn't get your pointer over the hover image, it would flicker. This was because you hovered the original, but when it changed, you were no longer hovering...
