Any free tools to convert a mssql DB dump to mysql?
Are there any free tools to convert a dump from a mssql database to a format that can be used for mysql?

A friend of mine tried this, but if I remember correctly, the trial version limits the file size you can convert. Check it out.

thanks, but they seem to require access to the databases, but I don't have that, most I could get is a dump

There are several tools available on google to convert database like MSSQL to MySQL databases, you can easily search for it, i use dbload for such aim, but its not a free tool.
