Hibernate &Storedprocedure

Hi,

I'm using hibernate with Stored Procedure. Response of this is very slow.
I just would like to know that "does Hibernate, using Stored Procedure, reduce the performance of the application at high rate?"

Could you please suggest me what should i use, Stored Procedure or not , with hibernate? I
'm developing web application for financial stuff.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Mohit
