Greetings,

this is what i want to implement:

1.) create a window on a web page that displays a message inside of it.

2.) have this window link to a text file that, when i update this text file, displays the contents of the text file in the window on the webpage.

You would be much better off if you take a small amount of your day and learn about LAYERS. Forget about the WINDOW idea, it would not be viewable in any browsers besides: IE.

ThAt's the road I took and I have created some AMAZING features for my clients.
