A folder/directory containing around 50 differently named .html files (not numerically numbered, but named with the page's content's reference code and which would be increased by several new pages a month)

A 'next' and 'previous' button/link on each of the pages/files.

Is it possible to use PHP look within the directory, pehaps sending a current page id or location on clicking 'next' or 'prev', to then next or previous dynamically through those files alpha-numerically relative to the page currently the user is on without the use of a database?

Cheers for the brain picking

Hi All,

My project team would like to set up a website where each of the project team can post ideas, and the rest of the team can read them, rate them, and review them.

Something similar to the Bugs Monitoring Scripts such as Mantis and Bugzilla.

What do you think?

Thanks.

The survey is intended to determine what photography style a person prefers.
The survey will show about 20 pictures, one by one, and ask to rate them.
Depending on the sum of individual ratings of each photograph, there are 4 possibilities of
end result.

Please advise what script/software I can use to build such a survey.
Thank you.

I use a service called Home and I'm looking for a script that will download a few things based off my Apache log. I say based on my log because the service typically requests a lot of things and manually downloading the requests is a bit tedious and tiresome. A typical line from my log looks something like this:

192.168.xx.xx - - [15/Nov/2009:21:50:14 -0500] "GET /c.home/prod/live/Objects/AE90FBA4-534F4BD1-A030DB15-F849F709/object_T032.odc HTTP/1.1" 404 274

This is but just one of among thousands there are for the service. So basically, what I am looking for is a script that will append the beginning URL to the rest of the url /c.home/... via the Web and then create a directory based on the ID (ie. AE90FBA4-534F4BD1-A030DB15-F849F709) and then download the file that is returning the not found error "404" in to the newly created directory in the htdocs folder. If the directory exists but the file is missing, it will not create a new directory but just download the file and place it in the existing directory.

I am new to this and I am leading to believe that to obtain such results, it will require me to modify Apache's settings and/or create a separate program that will run on the sidelines with Apache. If no script or anything like that exists and if it's too complicated, then no biggy.

So basically, I am trying to run the service off of my PC. I know, not worth the trouble but it has been a project of mine for awhile now.

What I'm looking to do is to make a .html file which contain somekind of script that will read the files in the directories and list all the videos with the image and the information in the text file and a link that will launch the video to be played by a media player...

Does anyone know of a simple and quick way to do this?

Also I'm hoping this can be done with a script language that doesn't require me running a webserver...

Greetings,

I run an online school for repossession agents. I have created an automated system for user creation and payment as well as testing. The last remaining task is to allow those who have passed the test to print a certificate saying so.

I'm not sure the best method to go about this so that I don't have to manually create the certificate. There will only be two fields on the certificate that need to be entered by the user, name (obviously) and a unique certificate number. The certificate template is already done in PDF, but can always be converted if needed.

*Issues*

Each passing tester can only edit the certificate ONCE (as I can't have a passing tester just print out certificates for all of his/her friends. This could be done via restricting I.P. perhaps?

Even with I.P. restriction, a passing tester can just go to another computer and use the same link to print again... is there a way around this?

Thank you for any suggestions! :)
