hi,
i have flash 5 setup on my PC,i m trying to download flash 8 but i m unable to download it.(i m using win xp), the downloading hangs after 75%..
how do i download a free version of flash 8 n frm where?

i also would like to know which version of compiler would go with flash 5.

I just did the same thing,
download free from: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
(or perhaps links cant be posted here?)
It did require that I close the browser which had flash components installed, kind of a catch 22 thing. I think it crashed once for me previously when I used IE6.

he's referring to Macromedia Flash 8, the newest flash editor from macromedia (adobe), not the flashplayer

normally it should work, but if it doesn't, you could google for it, or ask someone who has it and has a large webspace
