Unhappy My flash no working?

i downloaded flash 8 and try to install but it only for win 2000/win xp?
but OS is win 98 is it got another way to fix it without reinstall the os?thanks
and
what is the different between flash MX and flash 8?

no, you can't work around that problem.

there's a big difference between flash mx and flash 8.
1. flash 8 supports AS 3 whereas flash mx supports only AS 2
2. new functions are added in flash 8 (because of the new AS)
3. some bugs are solved
4. ...

but i can't install flash 8 to open the flash file ,is it got another way to open and edit the flash file may be flash 7?sorry for my nonsence

i don't think there's another way to open a flash 8 file in a flash MX or flash MX 2004 version.
you could however download a trial version of flash 8 and copy the code to another flash version when you have opened the file in flash 8. be aware that you will have to change some of the code.
