How can one edit mp3 files with flash or any other program?

I want to add an ad in the middle of an mp3 file

i don't know if you can edit them, but you could pause the current song, and start playing your add, and then continue the song.

i might be wrong however, but i don't think flash is able to do such thing.

You are indeed correct sir. You can't edit mp3's with pure Flash/Actionscript, there might be some crazy mod or class I have never heard of, but as of right now I've never known it to be possible. However, pausing/unpausing will work. Great solution.
