Hello. I am creating a flash navigation bar. I have imported my image that I have created for the navigation bar. I have added my own effect to it so that it glows when mouse over (from tutorial).

But when I test the movie, I get the error

Code:

**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 2, frame=1:Line 1: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
     on(rollOver) {

**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 2, frame=1:Line 4: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
     on(rollOut) {

How can I fix this?

the scripts are not on the buttons. you may have selected what you thought was the button but unless it says button above where you type the script your not actually in the button.

Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
on(rollOver) {

thats what that error is though
