What technology is being used to display pictures is it Flash?

Hello

I checked out this site today for a new flight sim that's coming out and it display's pictures very nicely. I'm not sure what technology they are using though. Thought it might be flash, but not sure.

Could you please tell me what they are using and if possible any links where I could learn more about how they are displaying the pictures when you click on them.

thanks
Scott

this is doen with javascript i think. If you check the source of the page, they load 3 javascript files which might be doing these effects:
1: http://www.fighterops.com/js/prototype.js
2: http://www.fighterops.com/js/scripta...s?load=effects
3: http://www.fighterops.com/js/lightbox.js

These scripts are free available for download on script.aculo.us

You can do the same with jQuery and the thickbox plugin.

jQuery is a lighter weight library than Prototype

J2EE = Java 2 Enterprise Edition. This is the platform for the programming language "Java", it has nothing to do with the javascript used on the example site.

You might be able to use a Java script to get the same result as in the examplary site, but it's gonna take an awfull lot more work, and you'll need a server with J2EE installed, and mod_jk enabled.
