Question How can I change a movie (.avi or any toher extention) bit to flash?

Is there any good script to change a movie bit into flash image without much trouble? I want the flash file as small as possible. Please post here if you know any such kind of script, Thanks.

You can either load the movie into a swf file "by hand" using Flash, or you can use a converter program. There are some commercial convertors that make life really simple, or there are some open-source ones too, like Flowplayer - Flash Video Player for the Web.

Hope this helps!

Viviotech Thanks for your reply. But I am looking for a script or software that can change a movie bit to Flash IMAGE (Banner) and not to flash movie format. On some forums you see those flash movie banners (images) which play a couple of seconds of some movie. I want to know how to make those flash images out of movies.

Technically, what you're describing is the same thing. Flash is Flash, and there's no difference between what you're calling an image and a movie - it all ends up in a SWF file which is then played by flash player.

However, I do see more clear now what you're asking. You can do what you're wanting in a Flash creation program. There's of course the Flash creation software from Adobe:
animation software, multimedia software | Adobe Flash CS4 Professional

But there are also alternative creation programs like Swish:
SWiSH - Easy Flash Animation Software Tools and Designer Templates

... which have less features but are generally considered easier to use.

Both of these programs can be used to create the "Movie Image Banners" you describe.

Hope this helps!
