Your 'international hub' only has 34 members. Start small, then rename yourself once you actually reach 'international hub' status. Or people won't trust you.

Perhaps you could contact other major astronomy sites and tell them that you're going to provide a free link to them in your links section. That will get their attention and not anger them because, hey, free advertising.

Or, and I'm going out on a limb here, you could code your own unique features into the site rather than sticking to the traditional phpbb portal modules.

Also, you are advertising a generic forum website in a programming forum, what's this about?

I do, however, admire you for the fact that you did not offer 'horoscopes' as an option in your latest "best part of astrology" poll.

Well, put it simply, I wanted to tell people the nature and audience of the forum.

Ok. thanks for your suggestions. I will try and see if any astronomy sites are willing to accept my offers. Actually done that to quite a few of them but not much response.

Custom features? Well, first, would like to try that sometimes but am at the mercy of the free forum hoster. It depends on whether they felt necessary to install the features or not. And I am new to this forum thing so was thinking of testing the response of the crowd first before investing on a real domain and web hosting package. Maybe that is also one of the reason why people might not trust us. But its a trade off between maintenance, cost, time, effort, trust, flexibility, etc.

Well, the forum here did not restrict me to promote. So, why not. Its free.

Horoscope is not science and I don't believe in it. I try to keep discussions scientific. Of course on and off we would digress to non science stuff like religion, our daily lives, astronomy legends, etc. But I try to keep them minimal and objective and neutral. Still trying to balance.
