wwwboard style board with modern functionality?

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a board that fits the following criteria. Any help is appreciated:

-Open source a plus, That way I can change things to work/look exactly how I'd like.
-Single forum, WWWboard styled interface. The people I'm working with are looking to have a more functional forum that can be made to look pretty much like the one they have set up. That means no grid-like vbulletin-styled interfaces.
-user registration required for posting.
-Simple add/delete moderation.
-Searchability a plus
-Decent speed, though it's not an incredibly high traffic site.
-The entire site is in PHP, and we want to keep that them with a php board. I'd prefer to work with a database driven board, but flat file might be acceptable.
-ability to disable smilies and vbcode, or just not have them in the first place.

Any recommendations? I'm pretty handy with PHP so if it's close to the mark I can probably make the required modifications, as long as the code isn't too arcane. Thanks.

Unfortunately phpbb has an interface similar to vbulletin (Which is cool, but won't work for my current project). I'm looking for an interface more like this board > http://www.trustkill.com/bored/

Much to my dismay the author has told me that he will not share or sell the code. Perhaps swinging by will give you a better Idea of what I'm looking for, though.

P.S. Thanks for the speedy response.

That's closer. I've seen that one too. It looks good, but the people I'm working with want the responses to be printed out under the thread topic in the main page, ala wwwboard. Did that make sense? Thanks again, what else ya got.

This program seems like it will fit perfectly. Thank you.

Edit: I'm struggling with the installation script. After I do the basic configuration (DB access and Language) I try running the script and get a whole slew of errors to the effect of:

PHP Code:

Warningmysql_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in c:\indigoperl\htdocs\ukiboard\index.php on line 6

Warning
Failed opening 'languages/.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear'in c:\indigoperl\htdocs\ukiboard\index.php on line 8

Warning

Warning
mysql_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in c:\indigoperl\htdocs\ukiboard\index.php on line 14

Warning

Warning

Warning
Failed opening 'themes/style.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear'in c:\indigoperl\htdocs\ukiboard\index.php on line 27
And it just keeps going on. Anyone care to try installing (or downloading and looking at the code) and let me know what I've done? It seems I've let my programming skills pick up a little rust. Thanks a heap.

Well I've tried installing it on windows xp and unix... both seem to work, but have some errors. I don't know how to fix your paticular problem, I just happened to come across that board... I will try to look for an alternative for you

Thanks Taylor,
So many errors are being reported, that I think the script must be using a different syntax than my system. Looks like maybe the queries are the culprit. I'll look and see if my version of mysql has any strange quirks.
