Dear Hotscripts team,

i tried to list my script "UnitConverter" at hotscripts and was refused because of

Listing denied because it contains non-english content

The complete script (>700 units) is given in english but some of the world-wide-units are ADDITIONALY given in other languages because of increasing the informations for the users. It is the nature of units beeing bound on some languages different to english, isn't it? Do you really want me to cripple the script and the included informations to be able to list the script at hotscripts? Please explain me what you want me to do.

I know, the next reply will force me to use the helpdesk for this problem. You should know that i tried this a couple of times for many earlier problems but never got an answer. The only way to get an answer from hotscripts was pushing the problem to public with this forum.

When accessing the URL http://www.h-bauer.de/index.html?unitconv,eng , I was first redirected to a non-english page. But rechecking it now, shows up your script page only after your homepage loads. I'm not sure why you choose that redirection method, but is it quite confusing. Perhaps you can just get rid of that?

Anyway, let us know your listing ID, we'll approve it right away.

Hi Snaip, thanks a lot.

The reason for the redirection (you found faulty) is volitional. Using my TreeMenu for the navigation (listing-id=40256 at hotscripts) i first show the homepage of my company i must earn money with - this is my profession. Then the redirection is automatically done to the scripts page - my free scripts are only hobby. Using TreeMenu there are many other possibilities too (e.g. loading pages from previously stored cookies), but the above way showed for me to be the best. I hope you can understand and accept this.

Hi Snaip,

thank you for approving my script UnitConverter, but do you have some problems with sorting at hotscripts?

Usually a new script should be listed in front of the older scripts as you tell in this forum. But UnitConverter even is not listed on the first page of js-calculators. The same happens to my scripts TreeMenu (now on the second page) and RPNcalculator.

Moreover all my older scripts lost their hits: TreeMenu had more than 7000 hits and there were more than 3000 downloads initiated from hotscripts. Now it has 400+ hits and is ranked much deeper.

Could you have a look into this?

Dear Snaip,

i already opened a support ticket about these problems about 2 weeks ago. I also gave my listing-id's, but until now there was no answer at all. I'm still waiting ...
