Bidflux

Has anyone else bought this script?

I bought it for $299 and the guy who wrote it, Joel Holbert, ignores my emails even though he promises '..6 months free email support' on his web site.

I had to resort to leaving messages on his demo site which he cleared every time I did.

I am not sure what to do because he wont answer any of my emails and the script does not work properly like his web site says it does, although I do like the script.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Update:

I got in touch with PayPal to try and resolve the situation but they would not do anything to help me. I am now stuck with a script that does not work and no way of getting support from the developer.

My advice is do not buy Bidflux.

Before I purchased, Joel was extremely responsive and answered all my questions but after I sent him the $299 he simply ignored all my emails. I have tried everything to get him to respond but no luck.

There is now a new client login area on his site for support but he will not send me my login details so I can submit a support ticket.

I have never been treated like this and I am astounded this guy manages to run a business this way. As soon as he gets your money you cannot do anything about it to get it back so beware - your dealing with a crook!

I know from personal experience if you do a chargeback on the credit card you payed PayPal with, you will get your money back in full every time. PayPal does nothing to protect merchants who sell online software and the merchant is 99.9999% guaranteed to loose the money that you sent.

Thanks for the info. Although I wish I did not have to do this, it seems like this is the only alternative.

To Joel Holbert at Bidflux auction software if you are reading this then please get in touch with me so we can resolve this matter. I do not want to perform a chargeback I just want the support and the script I was promised but Ignoring my emails is wrong and it seems there is no alternative - you can make that difference, we can resolve this. All you have to do is send me my client login details and answer my emails.

That's no problem. All you would have needed to do was contact me directly. There was no need in posting degrading messages at BidFlux.com's online demonstration trying to put-off potential clients, or posting messages of plea on this forum before you even did a little research. It clearly states in the press release at BidFlux.com that you must contact me directly.

All previous clients must understand that I no longer offer support via email. Each client will need their own personal help desk account in order to receive support. Contact me directly at joel@bidflux.com for more details.

I have sent you dozens up dozens of emails directly to both your email addresses, without a single response. I have begged and pleaded like a fool for support and you have ignored each and every one of my emails.

I emailed you directly BEFORE the new client system was in place when you were supposedly doing email support, asking for help - No response.

I emailed you directly several times over the course of several weeks AFTER you introduced your new client system asking for my client login details so I could submit a ticket - no response.

I posted messages on the Bidflux with my personal details over several weeks asking you to contact me with my login details - messages were cleared, no response.

At first I thought there was an email problem but I soon figured out that was all BS. You were intentionally ignorning me, to this day I do not know why.

I got in touch with PayPal to try and resolve this issue - no response from you whatsoever.

And, now, you come on here telling me, "All you would have needed to do was contact me directly"?

What kind of a business are you running here, people depend on good support and this is the first reply I have had from you since I bought the script 2 months ago for $299!

You know who I am and what I want, yet I still do not have an email with my login details, why is that? I told you weeks ago this could have been resolved, no response...no reponse...no reponse.

If I had known '6 months of free support' would be a reply to a forum thread every 2 months I would have been better prepared! Hard enough running a business without this kind of nonsense.

Sorry folks but I am so angry right now words cannot describe how I feel so I will end my message before I say something I regret.

Well, I'll tell you right now that I have yet to receive a single email from you. Like I said above, contact me directly. There is no need of continuing this pointless thread. Your situation calls for direct communication.

I have my own dedicated mail server and all emails went through to you according to my logs, and I have not received any undelivered emails back to my inbox in 2 months from either of your email addresses.

I also left several messages on your demo site with my personal details, email address asking you to email me my client login details - you cleared the messages and never got in touch.

I decided to email you with a couple of other email addresses, on the same dedicated server, asking some pre-sales questions to see what kind of response I would get if you knew I was a potential customer rather than a current customer and you very quick to respond to my questions.

I have a mail folder 'Bidflux' with all the emails I have sent you over the past 2 months. Looking through them I just realised I have one with a response, check it out -

Subject: Six months of free email support?

I have tried to get hold of you numerous times over the several weeks without success. I have even had to resort to posting requests on your demo site for you to email me, which I hate doing. I noticed the requests are cleared yet still no email or support.

I bought the script under the impression I would receive 6 months email support but you stopped answering my emails after I bought the script.

From Bidflux.com:

"...along with six months of free email support! "

Whats the deal here?
I originally thought that it was maybe a problem with either your hotmail account or my email account and I gave you the benefit of the doubt but I do not believe that anymore. You are intentionally ignoring me and it is very unprofessional.

I have been more than patient, it is not even like I do not want the script - I love it, but I need a few simples questions answered, why is that such a problem?
I am seriously contemplating a PayPal reversal on the $299 unless you reply to my request for support. This is the last thing I want to do because it makes me look bad - I would have to buy another script and start over which would be bad for my business now that I have customers posting auctions and I have spent money advertising the site.

But what is the alternative? If you will not answer my emails how can I build an auction site without the support I was promised. You have one of the best scripts on the market, huge potential, but it is totally let down with this kind of behaviour. What happens when, if, v2.0 comes out? Will I have to beg and plead for the update and be ignored then too.

I no longer offer support via email. You will need to register with our new online help desk at BidFlux.com in order to receive support.
So, I go to register on the web site only it says I have to email you to get my login details or order another script to get an account, so I email you...again...and again....over and over and over....

Why didnt you just send my details instead of typing, "I no longer offer support via email. You will need to register with our new online help desk at BidFlux.com in order to receive support."? You knew I had to email you for them, which I had just done!!!!!

It is now Novermber the 7th and still no login details! No support!

All you need to do is simply go to BidFlux.com as if you were going to register and purchase the software, but once you reach the last step and are requested to continue on to PayPal or 2CheckOut (depending on the merchant you choose for payment) do not continue. I will then validate your account and send out your account information to the email address provided.

guys.

I think this has gone on for much too long already. I think it would be better if you two solve this issue privately from now on.
