PHP melody review
I bought php melody software, i saw there is a 30 days money back guarantee, so let's give it a try.
The software didn't fit my needs, i asked for a refund, and never received any email, from this company called phpsugar.
I started a paypal dispute that was closed because paypal don't help if you buy digital products.
I don't have access to my account (it's closed by php sugar) i still have a 6 month support never used.
I buy many softwares that i found here in hot scripts but it's the first time i have such problems.
So what should i do know, please help?

There isn't really much you can do. It's a shame that some companies can't stick to their own promises, but when it comes to buying software online, it's a buyer beware world.
Make sure you also post a review of their software on hotscripts to at least warn other potential customers before they make the same mistake, but that's probably about the best you can do.
Hotscripts is just a medium to connect customers and software/script vendors. Unfortunately, since the software was purchased outside of Hotscripts control, there isn't much they can do either.

Thank you Bizzar528 for your reply,
Just to let you know that i sent an email to "php sugar" this weekend and i received this :
Hello,
Your access has been restricted since the payment has been taken from
our account by PayPal.
We offer a 30 day money back guarantee but there are some rules.
Your request does NOT comply with our rules.
The rules are publicly listed at: Terms of Agreement • phpSugar
Sincerely,
Andrew Rae
So PHP melody is a big joke when they say "30 days money back guarantee".
I didn't check the box that says "accept our rules" (because there was no rules) during payment process at all, only a button with "30 days money back guarantee"
+ I called paypal, and they told me that the money was back in there account a week ago, the day they closed the case.
People think twice before you buy this software from this company.

Ok some news,
Now i received this email from php sugar :
Hello,
>
> I reviewed this and it appears the case has been closed by PayPal.
>
> Please confirm in writing that you will NOT be requesting a new refund
> and that you understand our terms of agreement as listed at:
> Terms of Agreement • phpSugar
> If you do we will re-open you account.
>
> Sincerely,
> Andrew Rae
So if you want to buy any software from PHP SUGAR think twice, just look how they treat its cutstomers.

Well, reading their terms, they do require you open a support ticket and try to resolve any issues before requesting a refund. Did you do that? Or was this just a case where the features just didn't fit your needs?

i did that (open a support ticket) but i got a response that i should read the terms of agreement.
But during the payment process i should accept (check a box) this terms of agreement!
And i assure that i did not found any terms of agreement during payment process. I only knew about this terms when i asked for the a refund.
And a 30 days money back guarantee should be guarantee ;-) right? not with terms of agreement.
If not what is this guarantee?

Eh, everyone has fine print, and its usually best to look for this before buying something, however no one does it including me. The only time we care about the terms is when there's a problem, and even then, those are designed to protect the company, not you. If they did have the checkbox, you probably would have checked it and moved on without reading it (and don't tell me you read all of those because no one does).
As someone who's made and sold code online, I can tell you the software vendor is usually doing this because once you have the source code, what's to stop you from requesting a refund and still using the software? Not to say this was your intention, but it's been done. The best thing is for the company to be a little nicer about it, but that's on them.
I don't know what went on with the company, but when they say open a support ticket, they mean open a ticket to ask a question, not request a refund. But based on our conversation, I'd say you probably didn't do this. After realizing it was something you didn't want, you opened a ticket to request the refund which the company basically said isn't how they do things. Everyone is different, and that's just how they do things.
Sorry this didn't work out the way you hoped, but I would consider it a lesson learned and move on.

Meaningful lesson.
Hi,
First of all its really sad that all this things happen to you. I was planning to buy some furniture online now I will drop the idea and will purchase from the shop itself. I suppose in purchasing online you will have to suffer a lot.
Good Luck

Sorry to bump this relatively old post.
I'm the owner of PHPSUGAR.com and I just want to state our POV.
This was just one of those big misunderstandings.
We do have a public terms of agreement which explains that the 30-day money back guarantee is not a license to try the software for free and that there are some common sense rules as bizzar528 pointed out.
We have quite a lot of fraudulent orders from toyo's location and we assumed this to be just another case of getting free software. Software developers understand what i'm talking about here.
The customer (toyo) has been refunded after explaining our terms of agreement to him/her.
Hope this clears any wrong ideas about my company.
Thank you!
P.S. Sorry to see such a harsh review on our HotScripts product's page. We're certainly not scammers as toyo claims and that's why I'm here explaining our actions.
