[Undeniable]

Hi

A member on my forum asked this question and we dont know the answer so I thought it was related to the content on this site. I searched the site but couldnt find anything that i thought he was looking for. Anyway here is the question:

okay, i can connect to a server but i dont know how to call out info from the server such as the servers time but better yet i'd be wanting to call out from it what map is being played and how many people are connected to the server but i have no clue on how to do that. please help me someone.

Hello,
I don't know alot about game servers stats as I've never tried programming these before. However, I do know that some games like Call of Duty have log files which various people have already written php or web enabled server parsers for them to view the stats, maps, scores and other details online.

I also know that there are various "Game Server Only" types of web hosts and some of the ones who advertise across the web are using some sort of status script that seems to show details for every server that they are running. I know this because I came across one and visited the site of the guy who wrote the script and noticed that it was open source. But now, I just can't seem to remember where I saw it or what the site was.

I will keep a look out and will reply again shortly. I just can't seem to remember at the moment.

I did find the site offering the software as listed below but it seems to be down. I don't know if they are just having problems or if it is down for good. I tried to find links to someone who may have been hosting a copy for download but couldn't find one. Maybe the site will come back online.

Anyway, It's called the "UgLy Game Search Engine"
