Question which forum script?

Hi all,

I have a quick question about forum scripts. I wish to use a forum script to run a bulletin board on my site, but I wish to have restrictions:

1. No-one can register - I resgiter the users myself.
2. Public cannot read/view post any messages - only registered users who are logged in can.
3. When registered users are logged in and decide to post either a new topic or reply, the message is NOT made live - and email is sent to me informing me of the message (either the body of the message or a link to it) which I can then activate or delete.

Any ideas on the best script for this? phpBB is good, but isn't designed to do exactly this.

Any help appreciated,

Jonathen

vbulletin would be the best I think, but thats a paid product. I think IPB does most of that though

I use Invision PowerBoard here:

http://brooky.com/community and it is outstanding!

It does all you are asking for too and I run the old version. Go and grab a copy of 1.2 its "free".

More and more users are switching from VBulletin to IPB.

VBulletin is the Gucci if you like of discussion boards. Expensive and unnecessary IPB is the GAP.

I like vBulletin very much, but it cost around 170$. It looks really cool at HotScripts.com, I never seen so beautifull discussion board as this one here.

In my opinion Invision is the best. You can get it for free even though it is much better than vBulletin. I love the looks and skins. If you want to be very thrilled goto www.ibplanet.com

I am using IPB for my website, but I don't want the title (powered by...) and the alternate text to say Power by invision board. Anyone know which files I need to change and where they are? Also, anyone have a link to a site with skins? Perhaps im blind, but I didn't find anything on Invisions site. Thanks for reading.

Ive had a look at WBB forum packages.

Cant remember the url but if you search google for WBB Forum it should come up with a few links to download it from.

I'll be careful what i say here but its similar to vBulletin although i dont think there are that many support groups for it.

Its worth a look, I looked over it a few months back ... doesnt look that hard to customise.
