Since most of the new members are just looking for an immediate answer to their problem, they are not going to slow down enough to notice, let alone read, any forum rules. They are also not taking notice of repeated edits to their posts where their code was wrapped by a moderator. I recommend including brief statements of one or two of the most commonly violated forum rules in the sign up email. At least this way, they will have seen the information in front of their eyes and it might cut down on the occurrence of the "Last edited by ... Please use ... wrappers..."

Error checking, error reporting, and error recovery. If your code does not have these to get it to tell you why it is not working, what makes you think someone in a programming forum will be able to tell you why it is not working???
