Stats??

hi,
i posted two threads about the new site and Ryan has answered those. i'm very curious about stats of hotscripts.com

for the script stats it's very low. in the old good days we have 30-40 new scripts for 4 days or so and over 100 new ones for 3 days. look at the new "new listings" maximum is ~38. i think the best indicator is these numbers.

new site has a confusing and complicated design as compared to old. old one is functional plain and easy to use.

The database use to be updated every 3 or 4 days, thats why it appears there used to be a lot more resources being added...

I found the new site and the old site very similar to navigate.. basically you have your header links for main things (top items, new items, forums..etc) and you have your categories in the middle of the page like before and your search bar above it.

I think its just the colour scheme thats confusing people, the red can get kind of distracting.

Hello Everybody:

We have been busy working on some cool enhancements, so I appologize for my silence!

coppper6, you have some good feedback, and it is well appreciated. I can honestly say that there has bee no significant change in links submissions with the old site versus new. Same with traffic patterns.

Our new policy for the site is to add new listings on a daily basis, rather than 2-3 times per week. We think fresh content (resources) for our visitors is best, rather than having 2-3 day old links on the homepage.

The one thing that people (listing partners) really like (from what I am reading) is our new sorting algorithm for determing what scripts show up first within each category. We are using a combination of popularity, votes, and other criteria.

Finally, our new site simply preserved all of the navigation but just added a little hint of red We hope you can get used to it
