Hello,
Well some people, based on who you call spammers, may turn around and call you a spammer too..

Your Reply...
http://www.programmingtalk.com/showt...?threadid=8784

You didn't even really give this guy an informative reply. Instead, you replied with a simple comment. And the guy you say is spamming, basicly only created a post that was about as informative as your reply.

But no one is telling you to stop spamming!

Chris

SPAM is something that isn't wanted and was not asked for and is repeated continuously. This guy who is spamming has proven he is a spammer.

It's funny how you would defend this spammer but you posted this reply where you were concerned with people using links to trick people.

Define Spam

Hello,
I wasn't defending the spammer. Rapid Dr3am only listed one post and that was something that I didn't see as being spam. Now, if Rapid Dr3am would have posted links to various posts that prove the guy was a spammer, then maybe I would have thought twice about the topic and would have thought about the fact that maybe the guy was spamming which then I would have posted differently..

Overall, it's each persons opinion as to what is considered spam. Since my own opinion would be that Rapid Dr3am's own signiture is spam. That that is only my opinion just like everyone else.

If the Inet Team thinks he is spamming, I'd imagine they would do something about it. After all, it's thier site and business and if they let people constantly get away with bothering other users, then they put themselves in jeapordy, not the spammers.

But like I said, each person has thier own definition of what is considered to be spam. The post in question was not spam as I saw it.

Chris

You have the ability to turn signature viewing off in your control panel. His signature complies with other forum rules for signatures.

Your right, it's the administrator's job to determine if it is spam or not. That's why he posted a thread in "Site Suggestion and Feedback"; this is what the forum is for.

This guy has done this 3 times already posting multiple threads. If you search for the posts on that user you would see what Rapid and I are complaining about. The only way I can see how to make him stop is to post a reply and give him bad responses so that people will know it is SPAM; since there are no moderators in this forum.

Hello,
Very true and I agree with you. Like I said, I didn't realize the guy made multiple posts. I also didn't search on his username to see what his other posts were about. All I saw was just the post that was mentioned and like so many people who do not speak english, I took that into account as far as his wording.

But you are correct as I see the other posts. I wasn't trying to start a debate. But next time I'll look closer to see what they actually post.

Regards,
Chris

BTW: Cool site "rec0n"... Cool domain name as well..
