OK, I'm reasonably new to PHP and have been lumbered with looking after a club web site.

If I want to bring up a dialog box, can i do it on a PHP page.

ie, is it a feature of PHP, or can I insert javascript within the PHP page?

I'm assuming you mean a messagebox. This is a client side feature (vbscript/javascript). You can however embed this code within your php page just like you can in your static html pages.
