Embedding Music and Have It Played Continuously

<embed src="/../../music.mp3" width=1000 height=200 autostart=true loop=true>
<noembed>
<bgsound src="/../../music.mp3" loop=infinite>
</noembed>

Is there a way I can make the song play throughtout (continuously?) the pages? For example, if a visitor clicks on page 2, the song continues to play where it left off rather than start the song from the beginning on page 2.

That's not possible.

And besides, music on websites is the devil's work.

Does the music add to the theme of the site? Or is it music for the sake of it? Gotta agree with uprightdog, spawn of the devil mate.....

Actually, the one way you could do it is to have a hidden frame, and play your music in that. The site navigation would not change the content of this frame.

That's the developer in me talking. The user still maintains that music on websites is the devil's work.

Embedding Music and Have It Played Continuously

Apart from the moral issues, this should be possibly by putting the music link on your main page, which has one frame 100% x 100%. This frame contains your normal page, and all links stay within this frame.

Embedding Music and Have It Played Continuously - Moral issues

With regards to the moral issues / actually getting surfers to your site more than once:

How about a 2-frame page, 5% / 95% split. Top frame contains "You are listening to MySong by Me. Press here to Shut the **** up" - that way they have the option to stop it. This would probably entail having the onload call a js to play the music, and the js checks then enabled tag to see if it is allowed to play. Then the link (or button) in the header frame kills the enable tag.

If you want to get really tricky, you could put audio player controls in the header frame - play / pause / stop / next song / previous song / volume up & down.....

Now there's a project for ya!
