localhost vs remote

I am developing a site, if i load it in ie from localhost it looks different than if i load it from the remote site. the same happens in ff. any thoughs. I've tried cache issues and also made sure the files were synced correctly.

When you say it looks different, what looks different?

inside of a text area controlled by tinymce, the line spaceing is wrong.

if i view the remote one the lines overlap slightly (created using <p> tags)
if i view localy the lines are right

if screen shots would help i can make some

That would be nice, but I don't think you'll be able to upload them here. You'll have to link to them.

Just based on the screen shots and it works/doesn't work between browsers, suggests this is a CSS/browser difference issue. Why it shows up on the win 2k3 iis 6 would just be a guess. Perhaps tinymce is detecting browsers and doing specific CSS for each, but the detection is not happening correctly on the iis6 system???

I would agree but I have tried removing the css sheets so unless i've removed the wrong one that didn't change it.

is there a specific css tag i could add to try and fix it?
