Hi all ,
I Have a question that I have scoured the groups for but havent seen the exact answer so I will try to be as clear as I can.
I am creating a site for my companies intranet. To do this I have to work through a not well though out and slow CMS system. It would go along way for the management of the content I need to produce to use Iframes. I have always been a fan of the Iframe for content control, but have strayed away from in until Netscape caught up on its support for it (Bah). My issue is this, for the site I am creating I would like to be able to send people specific URL links to the content that will be contained in the Iframe, which to my knowledge will only open the page that is contained within the iframe and not the Iframed + Content page. Is there a way to be able to reference the iframe source and have it open within the containing page. Just to rephrase, if I was to send you a link to
Http://www.mydomain.com/tutiorial1.htm <----Iframe content , Is there a way to send a variable in the URL string to have the URL open the Iframe template and the target URL at the same time ? This will be just a static HTML site. I was thinking maybe some Javascript Function of some sort. Since I am no expert I am stuck.
Thanks for any help,
-Chris
