Session Storage in Firefox

when i am running session storage as a standard HTML page (without localhost) in Firefox 3.6.13, its showing error "Operation is not supported" code: "9". Its working well when i am hosting the application in IIS.

I need to run the page without localhost. Any Suggestion?

Thanks in advance

I don't really know much about HTML5, but I think Firefox 3.6 only partially supports it. Try upgrading to Firefox 4 and see if that makes a difference.
