HELP :: site navigation interactive java :: HELP

HELP : understanding site navigation applet : HELP

::::::::
::::::::

BEST REGARDS java pros

::::::::

i'd like to preface this question by saying that i am extremely unfamiliar with JAVAscripts and Applets, but i have recently been trying to better understand how to apply them into my site design.

QUESTION : : : : : : : : :

i used an applet CEREBELLUMIMAGE
found at - http://www.javabase.fsnet.co.uk/Cer...ellumImage.html

i would like to know if i would be able to modify this applet?

i am hoping to build a heirarchy that has more than 2 LEVELS, how can i do that in the HTML?

Like all javabase applets, the menu options are specified using the following formats:
""
{Name}
For an unlinked option or tree node

{Name,Link}
For a link to be opened in the same frame

{Name,Link,Frame}
For new frame
""""""""""""""

how could i structure the code to add more levels of nodes?

is there a way to add a paragraph formatting TAG that would allow me to display the NAME as a body of text?

...............
i know these questions may be a bit difficult and specific; but i feel that since i am new to JAVA i simply do not know how to properly ask for help...

DOES ANYONE know if there
is a better/easier way to make
a similar interface???

PLEASE look at this sample link:::
http://commonalms.com/psalms.htm

this is the page i am working on to see how i might use this applet
.
again please let me know if i would
be able to customize it or find another
way to accomplish the same layout.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

best regards

There's a big difference between Javascripts and Java applets. Applets have to be compiled but Javascripts are interpreted directly by the browser.
This question should probably be asked in the Java section instead, I myself don't know Java so I can't hgelp you with that. I can't get your pages to load either so I don't know what kind of interface you are trying to create and if it's possible to do in JS instead.

Sorry Sorry Links

Hello,

apologies for the Mix . Miss .

i may have placed this question in the wrong place, but
again thats probably due to my lack of experience .

so , if you could please try these links and reference the questions above .

::::::

Questions in particular :

Is there a way to make the headings of the Nodes appear as PARAGRAPHS?
the node attributes seem to be structured like " {NAME,LINK,FRAME}

could i add in a tag like <pre> or something?

ALSO, the nodes often times popup new windows when linked,
how can i control the size of the window pop ups?

can i set parameters?

many thanks for your time .

lex

I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you with this since I don't know Java... Maybe someone else can, as I said before, try the Java section here or if you get no replies, try searching other forums.
