Fading text?

Hi,
I've searched around a bit but I haven't found anything solid in regard to my question.

I want to make a testimonials sidebar on my web page, however I only want to put 2/3 at max and so I was wondering how I could make them fade away after a time limit and get replaced with another testimonial.

e.g. tesimonial 1 from student is on the page. after a 30seconds, testimonial 1 fades away and is replaced me testimonial 2

Is it possible?
Any help/insight appreciated
