Hi,

I wish to load a url in a cell of a table on the loading of the parent page without opening a new window. I know it can be done using frames but I don't like the look of frames and wish to use a table which will give only one scroll bar and looks neater.

I can do this using php but is there a way to do this using javascript?

Any help is much appreciated.

I don't think you can open a new url in a tablecell, i-frames are probably the only way to do it... try using CSS to change the look of the frame (so it won't look like a frame and remove the scrollbar etc)

You can also place a div-tag inside the tablecell and then write HTML strings to (or show/hide different div tags) it but then you need to have all the pages in one which isn't very practical. Placing the different pages in separate .js files
could also be a possibility but that's also hard to easily edit...

I don't have a good answer but I think you can find a good solution if you experiment a bit =)
