Hello everyone:
I am the administrator of a local university writing center and we are looking for a programmer to help us make a web-based record keeping system. We are currently using a Microsoft Access-based system, but are having substantial problems with multiple accesses, and with duplicate records/corrupted databases. Therefore, we are willing to pay (negotiable) for a new system. Unfortunitly, the deadline is pretty tight--we need a draft done in about a week or ten days.
Here are the requirements (this gets a bit long and complicated. I have a picture of what I want based on what we have, so, if you can help us, I do have much better instructions).
Once a user logs in (and the username/password list should be easily editable by an administrator), they are brought to a blank screen with boxes for information about a client (such as name, age, sex, and comments). The client name should be a drop down menu that populates with the names of the clients in the database and, once a client is selected, their info fills out the form. If a client is not in the database, there should be an "add client" button.
Now, the lower half of the screen should be a second database where individual "tickets" can be entered for any existing client. In other words, when a client visits the center, we want to be able to save a record, with comments, of their visit attached to their client entry in the database. All of their visits should be visible as a list, and be clickable to find out the details entered about a session.
There should be an administrator account that has access to a username/password script, a report that totals the number of clients (and information about the clients (ie. 26 males came)) during a specific date range. Finally, everyone should have access to a search script to search the database based on keywords.
Bids? Questions? Want the job and have experience (I would like to see at least one MySQL/PHP project that you've done)? Let me know ASAP. I will pay upon completion of the project, but am willing to put the money in escrow so that the money is available and guaranteed.
Thanks and take care...
Richard
