Programmer Needed (Paid Work)

Sorry guys, can't really be overly specific as I'm not 100% sure how this project could be done.
I am willing to pay someone to make me an SMS gateway of sorts.

Basically all I need is a small box on my main site where people can type the SMS and send it to me.
However, the gateway needs to interface with www.o2.co.uk to use my free SMS allocation.

So the script must somehow populate my login details, navigate to the sms sending url, populate my mobile number and populate the main message with the user text and send it.

As I say, not sure what language it would be in.

Any help would be appreciated, please contact me through my site if you think you can help.

I have sent you an email.

It is extremly hard, perhaps impossible to do this. It may even be against O2 terms and conditions. I have sent you details of another way of bypassing this problem.

Kindest Regards,

d00d? what are you talking about impossible to do this? If you can user a browser you can use a script. All you have to do is connect with a socket. Easy stuff, (maybe hard for you).

I'm interested, shoot me an email.

Excuse me,

Who gives you the right to question my skills?

The only way of possibly doing it is by using join and removing content. However the problem with that is the fact 02 has alot of security, it will restart a new session when you include the next page, and on the page you submit the sms, you can not login.

I hope you understand now why its impossible. Do you realy think a huge company would have such a flaw to let bots send SMS messages?

Kind Regards,

James Parmee Morris

The parent company of my ISP, Wood Communications, has this send a page thing. It sits on a Windows machine and uses a "websnpp2.exe."

I'm not quite sure what all's involved in setting this up, but you might contact Eric at my ISP. I'm sure he could direct you to the right person.

You can contact him at: info@ken-tennwireless.com

edit: Er, this might not be what you're looking for, and/or for a *nix system.

Yup, I'm running on a Linux box, so this wouldn't work. Thanks for the reply anyway!

Well you know I didn't think I was doing that. So, when you said this I was like, "hmmm... maybe I should question him"? So I took upon myself to take a look at your netpresence.

First your posts.

Any company that can't pay an employee you have to question. You also wonder about why they need someone to help them in the first place? Is the company not already compentent enough?

Far as other posts, well this is it nothing more. Draw your own conclusions.

Let's look at your website
http://www.webspaceuk.com/packages.php

We are looking at the site to see if you do indeed know anything and have skills that I shouldn't question. Right off the bat, your a web "hosting" company. I had to ask myself, "do people who HOST know anything about programming?" Let's say they do, then they know the simple standard of telling your user what is going on. For example when you hit something wrong the program should tell you. The page I posted doesn't say anything about the packages, it also fails to tell you if you are still underconstruction, if there was a web error, or what.

There is also actuall CODE errors that I won't go into because I want this to be simple.

Lastly I chose to look up where webspaceuk.com (the domain name) is located. I found it here

109 Wandworth HighStreet
Wandsworth
London,s

I then checked business directories for this as well as reverse address directories ectera. Didn't find a business. I might of missed it in my search though.

This just means that it's being ran in a house somewhere (not my ideal hosting plan) but "hey... it works".

I felt there was a few more places I could look at and probably find different reasons to question your skills. If I were I would not get offend when someone asks you to dicuss your skills and the reasons for your statements.
