I am looking for a PHP based script (no other language) which allows users to sign up for a free guestbook. MySQL will be used as a database.
The following function should be (at least) available, if you have good ideas let me know :
- User signup function with e-mail verification - user signs up for a free guestbook, enters all details and guestbook will be activated whenever the link is clicked from the welcome e-mail. Apart from personal details like name, e-mail, url, etc. the user should be asked if they want to receive important updates by e-mail
- Admin/members area :
>From within the admin/members area, user should be able to :
* Choose from multiple themes - (CSS based?)
* Create custom themes
* Check IP from entries, ban IPs, edit/remove entries
* Read private guestbook entries
* Add/change logo (stored on our server using upload function).
* Add/change intro text which will be on top of the guestbook page
* Add/change guestbook title
* Add/change personal details like e-mail,password,etc
* Choose if they want to receive the newsletter
The real admin area - for me :) - should be able to do the following :
* Delete/edit guestbook user
* Globally block IP's (so they can not post in ANY guestbook)
* E-Mail all users who have selected to receive the newsletter
* Reset passwords for users
* Add/remove/change smilies (see below)
General features :
- Support for smilies - like :) shows whatever.gif
- Flood control - The same IP can't post a 2nd message in 30 seconds
- Header/footer template so banners/google adsense can get inserted on all pages
