Need experienced programmer for large project ($1000+)
i'm looking for a reputable programmer for a large project ($1000+) I'm willing to pay extra for a solid programmer who will deliver me results.
because of the large money that will be invested in this project, i'm looking for a professional programmer, not a newbie or freelancer with no experience. Do you guys have any recommendations?
about the project:
clone of launch.com
additional features:
- every member has their own personal page (like xanga.com)
- each member has their own personal gallery
- artist albums (users can submit pictures)
- artist profiles
- games room
- chat room (like msn, public and private chat rooms)
- web store
- users get member points / guestbook / buddylist /
- send e-cards
- forum
- free sms (script provided)
- ringtones downloads page
- forums (vbulletin needs to be integrated into the website)
- each member gets mail
- lyrics section
- fanfics section

sounds pretty easy, $1000+ is definantly a fair price, i am a experienced coder, i have completed many gallerys, including one for http://www.spankbank.net/index.shtml only if ur 18+ enter there, I have done many download scripts, and I can do everything you ask for.

Most of the stuff your asking to be done, you can do on your own, and save your self the money.
For say, you want a photo gallers + each member gets their own album, then why not use coppermine.Its very easy to set up and its free.
Makeing chat rooms also is easy, this you can do, eather by getting a simple script, or useing fourms, most will come with chat options.
For member points, and fourms, you can use vbulletin. I belive they are only chargeing $40 for a life time membership, a month ago, it was more than $100
Also, may other things that you are asking to do,you can do on your own, and save $1000
I am sure that meny members here would be willing to help you with info and finding scripts for what you need. Little note to you miniscule, you are offering more than what you need too. Trust me, I make sites for major muti million dollar company sites, and I don't charge near that ammount.If no one is willing to shair some help for you, just pm me, and I see what I can help you with.

hey guys thanks for the replies.
i dont think you guys read it carefully, the list above is just additional features that i want on top of a clone of launch.com
I know where to get alot of free scripts to do the functions that are listed, but most of the budget will be going into the clone of launch.com and i know by no means that launch.com will be able to reproduced for under $1000, infact i have a budget of about $8000 to spend on this project. I'm willing to pay alot for someone who can deliver me results and build a system with the same features as launch.com with the additional features that i've mentioned in my original post.
the streaming audio system in particular that is used on launch.com seems to be to be quite complicated, as it allows members to create their own radio channels as well. But i want all the features on launch.com on top of the features listed in the original post. Everything needs to be integrated into one coherent and navigational system.
yahoo runs launch.com so they've probably spent tons of money developing the system.. i'm a small fry who has a comparatively low budget ($8000 max) who still wants the same features as launch.com. I'm obviously not going to be competing with launch.com, but i will use the system for a completely different genre of music (world music).
